In collaboration with IDPH, Champaign County is partnering with Be SMART and the IL Attorney General’s office for firearms safety. Champaign County Safety is running a series of trainings for Be SMART and Firearms Restraining Order – focusing on the secure storage of firearms and building awareness of the 2019 FRO law. Champaign County Gun Safety resources like gun locks and biometric gun safes available free of charge.
