The Illinois Association of Microboards and Cooperatives supports individuals with disabilities and their family members in creating small non-profit corporations that help them make their own decisions and control their own lives. The focus of a microboard or cooperative is community inclusion: having your own home, working a real job, and having friendships and relationships with people in their community. The IAMC provides information, training, and ongoing technical assistance, as well as facilitation of person-centered planning.
